Dr. Vetere has over 3o years experience in gynecology and gynecologic, minimally
Invasive (laparoscopic), and robotic surgery. He received his MD degree, Magna Cum
Laude, from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He is board
Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics
& Gynecology and the American College of Surgeons. He has served as
President of both the Nassau Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologist and the Nassau
Surgical Society. Currently, Dr. Vetere is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology,
And Reproductive Medicine at the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine
The Practice:
Dr. Vetere’s practice is concerned with the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment
Of conditions of the non-pregnant female including:
- Endometriosis
- Menopause
- Pelvic infections
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Screening for female cancers
- Contraception
- Pelvic (vaginal & uterine) prolapsed
- Female urinary incontinence
- Osteoporosis
- Pelvic pain
Dr. Vetere personally evaluates, treats, and operates on all his patients employing
appropriate consultation from other medical specialists and sub-specialists when
indicated. Patient care is individualized based on current medical practice and patient
preferences. The practice participates in Medicare and most insurance plans.
