Biography:

Dr. Stephen Rush attended the 6 year B.S.-M.D. program at Howard University. Following this, he did his radiation training at NYU Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. While in private practice, he developed Long Island Radiation Therapy into one of the largest in the metropolitan area.
Dr. Rush has focused his practice on adult brain tumors and head and neck cancer. He has published papers on these topics as well as on breast cancer and radiosurgery. He is a past President of the NY Head and Neck Society and is currently Director of Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at NYU Medical Center where he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology. His other activities include being a Pararescue Flight Surgeon-106th Rescue Wing and is a Major in the U.S. Air Force/NY Air National Guard.
