Stephen Rush, M.D.
Dr. Stephen Rush is a Board Certified
physician in Radiation Oncology whose specialty is adult radiation oncology.
He received a combined B.S./M.D. degree, a
six-year program, from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He did his
residency in Radiation Oncology at the New York University Medical Center
and Bellevue Hospital Center in New York.
Dr. Rush has served as an Assistant Professor
of Radiology at the Cornell University Medical College and currently as a
Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at New York University
Medical Center.
Dr. Rush is a member of the American College of Radiology, The American
Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the New York Head and Neck
Society, The New York Metropolitan Breast Group and The Neurooncology
Society.
Dr. Rush's published writings and lectures
have focused on the areas of brain tumors, head and neck cancer, prostate
cancer, gynecological malignancies and radiation therapy in the elderly. He
was a recipient of the Young Oncologist Essay Award from the American Radium
Society for his clinical research on Pituitary Tumors.
Dr. Rush has been in private practice since
1989 and specializes in the treatment of adult brain tumors, and head and
neck cancer. He performs Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at NYU Medical Center, and
South Nassau Community Hospital.
